Bakwan udang

Bakwan is an Indonesian fried meal consisting of vegetables and batter. The ingredients is vegetables; usually beansprouts, shredded cabbages and carrots, battered and deep fried in cooking oil. Bakwan udang uses a whole shrimp on top of batter.

Ingredients

200-300 grams of prawn
150 grams of flour
2-4 carrots
100-150 grams of white cabbage
2 scallions (or green onions)
1 onion or red onion (or purple onion)
3 garlic cloves
3 candlenuts (substitute: almonds)
2-4 teaspoons of salt
1 teaspoon of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of pepper powder
1 tablespoon of coriander seed powder
1 egg
cooking oil, for deep-frying
